Eating Around the World in Atlanta - 1

Pearce and I learned about some New Yorkers who made it their mission to eat at as many restaurants that served food from other countries in New York City.

We like this idea. Traveling + food = awesome. We decided that this year we would like to try to do the same thing in Atlanta. With Lucille being so young we figured that babies/children would be much more well received at these types of restaurants anyways.

The first place we visited is called Zyka. Is an Indian restaurant that serves pure ethnic Hyderabadi food. We had actually visited before with Pearce's parents and loved it so decided to take my dad during his visit.

As soon as we walked in I knew it was going to be great. It was packed and the majority of diners were Indian. We ordered a number of dishes to share.

 Appetizer: Vegetable Samosa

Main courses:
Butter Chicken - clay oven chicken with tomato gravy
Hyderabadi Biryani - goat in yogurt spices
Mutton Tikka Masala -
Sag Paneer - Homemade cheese in spinach

Side:
Naan - flatbread

Drink:
Mango Lassi - yogurt based drink

While we waited for the food Lucille flirted with two Indian women at the table next to us.  The younger of the two Indian woman asked to hold Lucille and then planted big kisses on her. She then passed her off to a young man who was sitting with them and he also planted some kisses on her. It was so sweet.

Pretty quickly they called Pearce's name and he went to pick it up from the front counter. It was quite a feast and I would recommend every last one of them. I have a feeling that anything you ordered at this place would be a win. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Hmmm mmmm.

If you want to check it out.
