Go West Young Girl - Black Canyon National Park and Crested Butte

After Telluride the crew traveled to Crested Butte to break up the six hour trip to Breckenridge. On the way, we stopped at yet another National Park - Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Despite never hearing about this park, we were all impressed with its beauty and size. It was one big canyon!

After the park we headed to Crested Butte, a smaller ski town that Pearce or I had never visited. We stayed at a cute little bed and breakfast that used to be an old boarding house for miners.

The next morning Hol, Mom, Pearce, Lu and I headed up the mountain to find a good hiking trail. We had timed our hike perfectly with the blooming wildflowers. It was one of our favorite hikes of all time!

After the hike we said goodbye to Mom, John, and Holly who headed back to Denver. We stayed one more night in town where we enjoyed the local playground and some amazing Thai food.
