In July Lucille and I headed down to South Florida for Christa's shower. Since Pearce was on night float we extended our visit to stay out of his hair and to have some fun with Emme and Papa.

The first half of the visit it rained everyday all day - very strange for summertime in Florida. We had to come up with ways to keep Lucille entertained.

Carousel at Sawgrass Mall - it was fast! |

Unfortunately at the mall (most likely) Lucille picked up a nasty bug and ran 104+ for four days. We took her to Christa's future pediatrician who thought it could be Roseola. The telltale sign would be if she broke out a rash after her fever broke. Turns out that is exactly happened. Those four days were tough for me because I had never seen her so miserable.
